Hitting the road..

Hey Guys,
I just thought I'd let you all know what I'm up to this week. This morning at about 10:30 me and Matt are leaving for good ole NB. I'm off to start my summer and I couldnt be more excited! I actually didn't get to sleep until like 2:45 last night (I went to bed at 11:45) because I was too excited to sleep! So anyway, I'm really hoping to get down to CB in the next week, before I start a job, just to make sure I get a trip that way in this summer. The plans really aren't worked out yet.. but if anyone knows anyone travelling to or from nb that wouldn't mind a passenger.. let me know! I hope that you're all as excited for the summer as I am.. and I hope to see most of you soon.

Well, as another Monday quickly approaches all I can think about is the summer. I know that I still have 2 and a half weeks left of school, but I just wanna be outta here. It's been a crazy year in Barrie for me, a lot of changes again I guess. And once again I was at a different school with different people, thats the 10th school for me. It went pretty well though, college seems to be quite different than high school; although people still do a lot of stupid things.. they're in general pretty nice people. Anyway, I learned a lot this year I'm realizing.. a lot about everyday living.. and being poor. :) As soon as school is over, me and Matt are packing the car and heading to New Brunswick. For all of the Nova Scotians that read this and think New Brunswick is the armpit of the Maritimes.. I have to say that I don't agree anymore. I spent the summer there last summer and saw some really beautiful places.. I love it there (who'da thunk?)!!
Anyway, that's what's new with me. Congrats to Kim and Ray on their beautiful little girl!!

A New Tradition

Well today is Sunday.. and like all Sundays (that I'm in Barrie, when I'm in London I skip) I went to church this morning. Today the Pastor was talking about the Sabbath.. trying to explain what "keeping it holy" really means. It was interesting.. cause usually this topic would have just gone in one ear and out the other (hey, at least I'm honest), but not today, I really kinda thought that the idea of being "refreshed" today was amazing. Funny thing is that it actually worked, I came back to Matts house and just "chilled". Which for me, these days, is a pretty big deal; tomorrow's Monday and I'm not even dreading it! I don't know people, maybe I'm just a slow learner.. but Pastor Doug was saying that the sabbath is for me time, God time and family time.. all that instead of panic time, I started a new tradition today. Just thought I'd add a "chill" picture to go with my post.. "Surfside Beash, SC"
