Well tonight of all nights, at 2 in the morning.. I finally figured out what my login information was again! I've been locked out for a few weeks now! Lots has happened.
First of all, I'm the proud Mama of 11 baby chicks.. all brown except one, Bobbi.. she's a leghorn. Also I have my piglet Rosie.. she's red with black spots and quite sad at the moment. You see, I took her from a pen with all the other little piglets, so I think she's lonely. Heidi doesn't know what to think of her either.. this morning she growled at the Rosie when I gave Rosie the table scraps that I would usually give to Heidi.. lol.
Aside from all that, Matt and I have just been working away at the yard and at life, as usual. Matt is holding down about 4 jobs this summer, having his hand in a little bit of everything.. so needless to say, he's a busy guy lately! We aren't planning on taking much time off this summer, but I def think a summer like this is going to call for a month off in December.. wouldn't you say?
Well my birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I'm starting to feel not so preteenish anymore.. I don't think I'm too old yet, but I feel like my 20s are starting to catch up to me anyway, unlike my husband.. who won't age until October. :P Matt informed me that he's going to be away on my birthday this year, so I am planning on possibly punishing him for that by going to CB for a few days to see the fam. Not sure yet tho.. is that mean? Lol.
Anyway, just a quick update I suppose.. We have lots going on but maybe not lots to write about? Its all building, driving, working, building, working.. etc.. its just that time of year!

Rose Colored Glasses
Matt and I have been thinking a lot lately about what's next for us.. you know, we're 23 and we still have a few more years of "fun and adventures" before we settle down right? Either way, we're not sure what it is. We really thought it was weird a year and a half ago, when God gave us this house, but now, while we totally love it.. its hard to figure out why we came here in the first place. Do most people feel like this? I mean, I don't want to leave Woodstock anytime soon.. but do you ever feel like you might be missing something God meant for you to see forever ago? Almost as if we've been too busy or something, or just maybe we're too impatient now. I assume a lot of people feel this way.. but for us, with our crazy unpredictable schedules and all our home renos.. we really don't have any time to be involved anywhere in this community, therefore we have no impact on it and it has no impact on us. I think more than anything I just want to be able to be part of a group that is growing and figuring out life together.. I'm sure there's lots of people who know what I mean!
I like to read a lot, and I generally read historical fiction these days.. and although the stories are fiction, they really open your eyes about how people used to look at life.. even just 300 years ago. What I mean is, there wasn't anywhere near the scientific knowledge that there is today.. and there for, health care what somewhat non-existent. It's weird to think that a few hundred years ago.. people didn't try and control life as much, because they simply couldn't. Lots of times people would get sick from something they could easily cure today, but had no idea what it was back then.. and that was it for them. It makes me think that people just valued life minute by minute and day by day. I often feel like as a society we've been conditioned to fear death rather then understand it or accept it.. and even as Christians we have this learned fear of what is to come. I guess I just think its sad that we miss out on this ability to just take everything a day at a time. Which leads me back to what I was saying, if we realize that we need to live in the moment because life is short.. then we wouldn't be waiting around to make an impact, we'd be out making it right?
This is my dilemma..

Everyday Triumphs
Well its been quite some time since I last blogged.. lots has transpired. Marriage, housing, jobs, etc, all have changed greatly! For all of you who follow my facebook or see me around, you know that Matt and I moved to Woodstock, NB and are fixing up a little house out in the woods. We love it. We are still trying to figure out what our next BIG move is.. new jobs? sell the house? who knows.. we'll have to wait until the good Lord tells us. For now we are enjoying the spring, working on our house (we SOMETIMES enjoy this), bonfires and dreamin' about things to come. I'm going to add some pictures of our house to this entry, maybe someday I'll do a post on before and after pictures of the place. Today I just came in from mowing the lawn and gardening all day, so I'm quite proud of the place. For those who know the place, you'll notice in the pictures that Matty just finished the new roof last week and that my LOVELY apple trees are blossoming. I love the spring!

Back at it!!
Hey everyone!
Well obviously it's been forEVER since I've posted last. Clearly blogger has been competeing hardcore with facebook, which of course I am a victim of being sucked in. Anyways, the wedding was fabulous! I think that it was about 8 months now though so I'm over it. If you want to see pictures look me up on facebook and I have a ton on there.
Other than that, we've just been working and enjoying being newlyweds. Life in ontario is perty good.. but we're of course missing the east coast. Some day I'm sure we'll be back out that way.
Anywhoo.. Just wanted to say MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

Leaving tomorrow!!!
Well guys, this is it!! I'm about to become Mrs. Ashley Graham and I can't change my mind pretty much as of tomorrow!! Haha, not that I would, but this is serious. I'm all ready to go, got my bag packed and I'm carrying my dress on the plane! Me and Matt are leaving for Hamilton today to pickup Jenna Gatey at the airport and are staying over with Jeff and Amanda tonight.. so today is really the last day for me, and I'm wasting it all on the computer! HAha, anyways, just thought I'd post some pics that me and Matty had fun taking the other day when we went to the park with Jeff and his camera. We're both just so photogenic :P.

If you look really close.. I think you can see that it looks like I peed my pants.. Jeff made us sit on the snow!

I think we look kinda photoshoped into this pic.. but we're not.
Well those were the only ones I could find that didn't make the final cuts.. there were other hilarious ones.. and if we find them then we'll post them..
Have a good week everyone! I know I will!

Down to the last days...
Hey Guys!!
Not to much new here, just thought I'd update yah on how life is going here these days in good ole' Ontario. First of all, its freezing! I'm not usually one to complain about the cold but this has been a BRUTAL winter. Therefore, the Dominican is gonna be sweet!! To be honest, not alot has happened since my last post, I'm almost finished work.. this friday, Matty is finished work until after the wedding, we're still desperately looking for an apartment and we bought a bed!!! Hahaha.. I dont know about you guys but the bed part is exciting for me, it was either that or the floor! We weren't going to buy one and went into a SleepCountry looking for a futon mattress when this slightly queer salesman just made it seem stupid to walk away. AHhaah, we're suckers, but I love it. Either way, pretty much everything for our wedding is all set, except that I'm still without my engagement ring because the jeweller has it and we're too poor to pick up that and our wedding bands as of yet! Isn't being young and poor wonderful?! HAhaha. Anyways, one last thing, anyone reading this that knows Scott and Leighanne, don't forget to pray for them this month as they head out for Belize on Wednesday!!! They're very excited and are just kinda waiting on God for a few other things to fall into place and then they're good to go! Right after that they're coming home to Halifax and getting on the plane in Moncton to come down to the DR for my wedding.. so busy month for them! Anyways, that's all for now folks!!

Going to the DR
Well, as usual, the plans have changed quite a bit since I last posted. This time we have a lot of our wedding plans finalized and everything is starting to come together quite nice. Actually, Matt and I just finished up the shopping today for the wedding party. So our plans to go to the Caymen Islands to get married were changed to the Dominican. Puerto Plata, DR at the Viva Wyndham Tangerine resort is where we are going to get hitched. We're all (all 25 or so of us) flying down on the 23rd-24th of March and spending a few days in the sun before me and matty get married on the 29th! Its been so much better to do a small wedding this way, I though that shopping for the bridal party clothing was stressful.. I'd be a basketcase if I was throwing a huge ordeal! Either way, for all of you guys who can't make it to the DR to join us on our wedding day, never fear. We will be having a reception in Woodstock, NB around the end of August. Not sure where, not sure when.. check back for further details. Thats all for today! Check out our resort.. I'll post a pic if I can.
